We’re a thrift store with a purpose: to meet the needs of individuals in the Randolph County community. We do this by offering incredible merchandise—that changes daily—at affordable prices.

Our thrift store items are here to help families get back on their feet. You’ll find a little bit of everything in our store from clothing to basic household items and more. And if you don’t find what you’re looking for, don’t worry! Just talk to our staff and we’ll see what we can do for you.

At the CUOC Thrift Store, shopping is always a treat! Located now at the newly renovated 930 S. Fayetteville St. center, we’re proud to carry high-quality items that the community needs. You can even enjoy a delicious Hershey, hand-dipped ice cream on your way out! We have 16 amazing flavors to choose from.

Donations for the Thrift Store

Your donated items are important to us!  We “sell to those who want it and give to those who need it”. Last year we gave
away $25,910 dollars of merchandise at thrift store prices to families who needed clothing, household items and furniture
from the store. Selling your donated items helps support our mission as much as giving items away thru our voucher
program. It helps us provide quality items at a price individuals can afford.

Whether you are dropping off items you want to donate or we are picking them up, please
follow these instructions to be sure your items are the blessing you intended them to be!

1) Drop off donations Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 9:00 until 4:00 pm/ Saturday from 9:00 until 2:30. Please Do Not Leave Donations on Holidays, Wednesdays, after hours or Sundays or days we are closed due to inclement weather.

Your donations are valuable and we will never see them or if we do, they will be broken, thrown all over the parking lot or stolen. CUOC will have to pay staff to clean up the parking lot and dump fees for items we can’t use.

2) If you know you need help unloading your donated items, call ahead so we can make sure someone will be available to assist you.

Our staff wears many hats and may not be available to help if we don’t know you are on your way. If you can handle the donation yourself there is a donation bin behind the
building where you can leave your donations during hours stated above. 336-625-1500 x 301.

3) Preparing your donations, whether we are picking up your items or you are dropping them off please follow these guidelines:

a. Items should be clean, undamaged, all parts/pieces intact, clothing and furniture should not have holes, smell like smoke, mildew, pets, or moth balls; If it isn’t nice enough for you to use or put it on your body, we don’t need to use our funds to pay to dispose of it.

b. All items that can be boxed or bagged must be. Do Not Drop off loose small items that can be contained.

c. To donate electronics or appliances, large or small, make sure they work, don’t need any repair, have been cleaned up, and don’t have to be installed such as a dishwasher or cooktop. We don’t have volunteers or staff to make repairs or install donated items.

d. We are unable to accept tube TV’s or mattresses.

e. We can’t accept partially used cosmetics, cleaning supplies, partially used paint, medications or opened hygiene products.

4) Need a pick up?

Large pickups are scheduled in advance. We will do our best to accommodate your needs. Please be aware last minute calls might not give you the results you hope for. Our staff
can’t pick up items that you are able to bring in a vehicle. Call 336-625-1500 ex 303 to

About the CUOC Thrift Store

All revenue from the CUOC Thrift Store helps support families in Randolph Country. Proceeds support our Short-Term Financial Crisis Intervention program for people in need. We keep the money where we work and live, helping the most vulnerable in the area.
